Dear Blogger Pals...

Dear Blogger-Pals,

For some time I been thinking o' doing some changes around here, on dis ol' blog.

I want to add picture-stories too. Not professional pikchas that people take with glorious cameras, some's a bit odd-looking. And not often, just when they pop into me head (which I sneeze-off dis morning, so if you see it, please send it back to me).

I want to change the name o' dis blog too. I been thinking about it for about 2 years. Why? It's the gypsy in me, man.

I wish I could write more, but like I say, I sneeze-off me head and I feel word-less.

So, anyway, what you all think?

With much love, (headless) G.G.

I think... this is your blog - you do with it whatever you want. When you first came to my blog it was called "Ramblings of the Bearded One" and had been born when I was aiming to become a writer and wanted an outlet to explore and develop my voice.

As the photography took over and more and more of the posts were about my photos, the blog wasn't reflecting who I was anymore, so I changed it to "Painting With Shadows". It will remain that way until such time as it needs to change again.

We grow, we change. This blog is yours to do with as you please. I will keep visiting and commenting because your creativity and unique eye will still be expressed, and I enjoy your blogging friendship :)

It's your blog so you can do whatever you like. Most of us do! Some of us are still tinkering! (Geiger asks what the hell happened to the promised comic strip!)

Zooms, thank you! What you've said means a lot to me, the most insecure of all writers, ever :-)
I will take pics of the faded old pink kitchen table one day, it was the center of all family life in this household.
As for the name, I'm still if-ing and but-ing. I don't know, I'm not sure. x x x

Cadiz, it's the same mad style, but with picture stories. I'm still not sure about the name change. One day I want to, the next day, I'm not sure. Argh. I thought I was indecisive but now I'm don't know :-D

Dinah! You promised to do a comic-strip?
I was wondering if anyone's gotten tired of this same old name.
Tinkering is good, and fun!

Kim, thank you for your comment about 'creative eye'. It encourages me to look again, and again.
I remember thinking, if Kim can change his blog, so can I.
All I want to do is tell stories and do the same as I've always done here, with pictures every now and then [working on one right now].
But for some reason, I keep feeling 'iffy' about the name only because it sounds too...I have no idea how it sounds!
SIGH!

JohnG, you've got sugar-tongue, you do :-D
It's not pepper! It was an early morning bath that caused the snizzing. My head's off to sea, I think, having fun without me.

Sooshie, thank you! x x x x x

Whatever you do is fine with me - as long as you keep doing it.
I love photos and have always hankered to see more of your surroundings but only what you are happy with.

Great idea! DO IT! I'd love to see pictures. I'm so homesick! If you need help with design changes feel free to email me at Julian@Guyanesesista.com. Making changes to blogger can be challenging depending on what you want to do. I've had lots of headaches so I'd be glad to help someone else out of that.

Also are you backing up your blog? If not go to Settings>Other>Blog Tools>Export Blog. You can save it to a file in your computer. Takes less than a two minutes. I'd advise you to do it before making any changes and because Google can shut down blogs because they feel like it and they have no customer service so when it's gone it's GONE. Don't run nekkid in these blog streets!

Everything will be saved as code but will make sense should you need to Import again. Export/back up periodically as you add more blog posts. I love your blog and would hate to see you lose your hard work.

If you already do this AWESOME! This thesis I just wrote might be able to help someone else.

:-)

Guyanesesista, you, my dear, are awesome! Thank you one million for this advise, and your kind words about my writing.
I've been copying pages, and pasting into word document and saving, but it's so extremely tedious! I am going to do this immediately.
Oooh, I can follow your blog and know when you update now!

Pat, I'm ashamed to say, I had a camera and I don't know why it's not working anymore, so I'm using the cellphone / smartphone/mobile whatever it's called these days. I still only want to tell stories with words though.

Kaia / Nuit, of course I remember you! You've all been so friendly and kind. You and Alla have a really sweet new site. I've tried commenting a few times before but couldn't!

Hey Rockaway Girl! Welcome back! How are you? I hope life's treating you well.

You're welcome. A couple more things. At this time you'll be able to upload almost anywhere except Tumblr. And the code saves comments as well as the exact dates, times and order that you posted. Only thing you have to do over is the design which is the least of your problems.

And thanks for the follow!!
