Laptop & Mammogram.

While the laptop been to the doctor because of burnout, I decide to do a mammogram!

Aiye yai yai!

I never do one in me whole born life.

From the day I make that decision, to the minute I enter that white sterile room, I thought the world come to a’ end.

The day before I make the appointment, I tell my mother I might chicken out.

Behind me back, she make the appointment.

Mrs. Nizam always say she does pray that while she is in the middle of doing a mammogram, the lady operating the machine don’t drop down and leave she there.

We in Guyana better pray we don’t get a powercut in the middle of

Haha, jokes, there wasn’t no powercut, no bad news, and life feel just right!

Any good news?

Anybody fall in love, marry, win something, move to a new home, get a baby, new job, celebrate something good, while I been gone?

Saw mammogram and your name over at Kim's (blog roll) and hightailed over here.
Glad all well. I did them regularly for years but feel- at this stage - I'd rather not.
Good news I've been reunited with my hairdresser and look human again and all the French family are coming over in February.

I completed a really tough sudoku puzzle, which I was pleased about. Does that count?

Ginger, a new job! Congratulations. I hope you have lots of fun, yes, fun, it's good to enjoy the work you do, well, that's how I feel :-)

Cadiz, some people asked me, why...why was I getting one done. Imagine that!

Kim, I've never tried Sudoku, and I bet it's a real high completing an especially tough one, of course it counts.
I'll let you into a little secret. Even doing the dishes count in my book, hahaha.

Pat, wow, good things...family, new hair, Christmas holidays...I feel so good to be back, reading all this happy news!

CG, so that's where you were! How's the UK? My mother was there, she LOVES it...she's always liked England. Heh, I'm glad you're not pregnant.

JohnG, waking up to a new day is the best news, thank you for being around. After the fear I put myself through, wow, it's great to be alive x x

A friend went for a mammogram on the advice of his doctor because he found a lump in his left breast. Yes, I did say "HE"!

I never realised that a man could get breast cancer, but apparently they can, even if it is very rare.

Now I'm worried . . . . . .

nth new with me, does the mammogram test hurt? i never really paid attention to how that test is done. glad to know your alright though.

i had this weird dream i was in Guyana, and its night and everyone is afraid, and everyone is just waiting for who is going to get robbed next.

Jihan, it doesn't hurt...as long as you don't move!! They place one breast at a time on the table-like thing, and sort of clamp it down with another [breast sandwich with glass] then take a picture. It takes 2 seconds.

Keith, I've heard of men having *breast* cancer. I asked the girl, How do you do a mammogram of men?

Guyana-Gyal, glad you're back! I missed your posts. Happy to hear that your mammogram revealed that all's well.

Gyal, I got my first mammo on the 17th! And it was a diagnostic one so they must have done 5 on one side and 10 on the other and I hollered every time :-(

But, thanks be, I'm ok after all :-) Should be another few years till I'm eligible to start the screening ones.

P.S. Yes, men do have to check their breast tissues the way women do, but there's another area they must check that women don't have...the bags down there.
