I wonder about the new systems. I can't travel with my 5 month old daughter- can't get visa without passport, can't get passport without electronic birth certificate- six months for electronic birth certificate. There's something wrong with this system. It was easier when infants could travel on your passport

We've been looking at some of those forms to try and get clearance for family from India to come visit--REEDONKULUS!

I hate to be like this, but is the process this rigorous for *everyone* trying to get a visa, or only for people from certain countries? I'm thinking not.

Cadiz, I was wondering the same, is the process this way for everyone or just folks from some countries? But looking at it from the point of view of those issuing visas, I guess they have to screen people really carefully these days because of the baddies.

Caribbean Woman, that's a mighty long time they're taking to issue an e-birth certificate, wow! Aren't computers supposed to help people work faster? Or is the birth rate so high they can't keep up? Shees.

Jdid, I wish I could just talk the info. and the computer would type it out for me, then I wouldn't mind at all, they can ask anything, haha.

JohnG, that won't work. They'll say you can't come to our country if you're going either contaminate our seats or if you're going to live off other people's knickas [or bucktas].

Pat, your comment's given me the giggles ever since, I can't stop :-D
