I know they's cute and fluffy and adorable and innocent.

But this afternoon,

just this afternoon alone,

sleepy and tired,

love them a li'l less (even cute, li'l, short dawg across the road)

'cause of all the yappin' and voice-scrapin' growls and shoutin' and hollerin' that they's indulgin' in for some reason.

Please don't kill me, dawg owners.

I's only human.

Even though I love dogs I have to agree constant barking is a real pain. We have some nice neighbours but their two dogs cry and whine late at night and early in the morning. They cheerfully acknowledge this so it's difficult to say any more about it.

I sympathise. We have a dog above us on the hill who delights in any excuse to yap his head off. I blame the owners who are quite ineffectual when they tell him to stop. No-one would think they mean it. I long to show them how:)

Pat, now that the dogs here are resting, I can laugh at the yapping dog above you on the hill, I wonder what he's trying to say. I wonder what you'd do to teach the owners how...some good ol' fashioned nurse-discipline, I bet.

Sab, TWO? Ohhhh my gosh, you have my sympathies. Two crying dawgs at night. Hahaha, and the owners agree with you about the noise.

not acceptable, and not necessary. it's true jake isn't as good as he was in the city (1 or 2 barks only if someone actually approached the stairs) now he lets out his bark when a car passes on the road more than 300 feet away! But he does know it's not acceptable to carry on. It's a dog's job to alert me, not to bark and bark and bark.

I think part of the problem is that dogs aren't taught their job. They know to bark, but not when, and when to quit.

Jake is funny. He'll bark, I thank him. On the second one he'll look at me and roll his eyes and growl low as I thank him again and say 'enough'. He takes his job seriously!

It's not the dogs fault, it's the owners!

JohnG, the owners here are Brazilians but they're so nice and the dawgs are quiet now so I'm happy. Call me a fool :-D

Hayden, that's interesting...that the dogs don't know when to quit, they should be trained that way. There's a show I like watching, with this Latino chap who helps to train dawgs.
Jake is the coolest dawg on the Internet and in Merica and everywhere else. And he's so cute.

OMG I miss that. Here the only noise that bothers me is the noise of planes. I also miss the sound of cats fighting too, or donkeys braying.

Jibi, hahaha, I forgot about the cats fighting. One or two times, I hear a donkey braying.
My aunt says she misses rooster crowing.
