Murder

of a relative.

Death of another – old age and plenty ailments.

Same time, auntie and uncle from Abroad been visiting too.

Wakes. Funerals [I go to one. On the day of the second one, I been so tired I flop down and snooze].

Teas and lunches and dinners with family.

Trip to the countryside, visiting folks, gyaffing...chatting...under a tree. Lunch at a grand ole estate house.

Collect plenty stories. Dissect, analyse, put together, dissect again.

Now, typing difficult. On Thursday I pull out long grass growing wild and free in a plant pot in the verandah. Hair or insect on grass sting, feel like fire-needles boring skin. Major allergic reaction.

Latest pastime - reading books; staring at fingers. Wish I can read me fortune in them itchy bumps. But all I can smell is Betnovate C ointment.

So very sorry about Camilla. I hope you can give each other comfort. And I hope your bite is better soon. The biters are prevalent just now and my face is white with camomile.
I am watching a programme tonight on BBC 'Lost land of the Jaguar' in the hope that I shall learn something of Guyana.
The Kaleteur Falls look magnificent. I think the object of the programme is to say to the world - this is one of the last wildernesses - we must help Guyana to protect it.

Pat, this is the programme, right? I wonder if I'll ever see it on local tv...http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/tvradio/programmes/jaguar/whathappenednext.shtml

So sorry to hear of the losses in your family.

Indeed in threes, the MIL of a blogger in Japan passed on the same day as your post.

On to lighter topics, "dissect, analyze, put together, dissect again"....isn't that "mek law, brek law"?

My dad used to use Betnovate for his psoriasis many many years ago.

I hope your fingers improve quickly.

And my mother watched that Lost Land of the Jaguar on BBC today also.

GG: yes that puts you through to a trailer. Someone called Chenette has done some awesome photos.
I did a small post about it this am.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I enjoyed the link to your local paper, some very good stories and I liked the way they were written. This phrase was very interesting......‘Bear yo’ chafe like Banwahree.’
Do you know what it means?

Truly a sad story. I'm sorry to hear that your cousin had to die this way. My condolences. Long time, GG. Peace~

Condolences on both counts. I also watched "Lost land of the Jaguar" - thinking of you! - your fascinating and beautiful country is full of violence and predators, both in the virgin jungle and in the city. Sorry it had to touch your family.

So sorry to read this GG. Lost a great uncle to murder a decade back. Nothing comforting you can say about having something like that happen in your family. And sorry about the other death and all the busy-ness. Tiring stuff!

Wishing you cool quiet gentle days.

Guyana Gyal, you are very talented...your writing is so easy to read...you should save hardcopies of these blogs in a journal.

Ever thought of short stories?
