Where have all the good boys gone?

There we was, me and Annie, gyaffing…chatting on the phone; we solve the problems of the world – pollution, starvation, politicians – everything we sort out but we couldn’t resolve the shortage of good boys here. Plenty pretty, smart girls going around, but not enough boys to match them girls.

Annie tell me how one day she been discussing this with she friend Kamini. They both want boys who is interested in things other than electronics, cars and rum.

Kamini, with all the yearning in she heart, confess, “Girl Annie, you know what I does dream about…what I does fantasize about? I walk into a room full o’ boys and I can pick, choose, refuse…”

And that wicked gyal Annie, in she usual dry manner declare, “Kamini, you need to go to Camp Street jail!”

Camp Street jail is pack-up wall to wall with fellas varying in age, size, shape, colour.

Depending on the order and how much they liked those three things, that would be one easygoing fella to be with :)

Women don't want 'good boys.' Women know where all the 'good boys' are, but women tend to ignore them. Women prefer guys who treat them badly. Women should not be complaining about the lack of 'good boys' because women's continual rejection of decent males has led to them acting like badasses.

I am sick and tired of seeing fake 'thugs' walking down the street dressed like total jackasses and their braided hair. But I must concede that I do understand.

When you carry yourself properly, work hard in school, speak well, read widely and can speak on a wide array of topics the women around you just use you for general conversation, put you in the dreaded 'friend zone' and then they go back to their shallow roughneck boyfriends whose discussions rarely stray from electronics, cars and rum.

Think about it.

Hello Silver Dragon, welcome. Isn't that a generalisation, to say that women don't want 'good boys'? I must say, the women in my family have chosen really sweet, nice guys...haha, they wouldn't dare bring home fellas the rest of the family would be afraid of, disapprove of.

Shrimpy, an easy-goin' fella can be a darlin' :-)

Mopsy, them boys plentiful, they all over the place, in offices, at parties and so...is just that the really nice ones ain't deh round or they hard to find, I ain't know.

Bakannal, you blushing? Haha, no, you ain't, not after that post you write. But don't worry, Annie is a good girl, she know you 'got somebody', she don't teef other girl's fellas.

Caro, Annie and I might become dictators if we rule the world, hahaha...I think that is what happens to people when they start to rule too far and wide.

Find a lifer, marry him and then you get all those people off your back without ever having to wake up next to stinky breath...You could always get a divorce if you met the real thing.

Just a (cynical) suggestion....

Ah GG, if I were still single, I'd come down there and sweep you off your feet..... ;-)

Mr. Nighttime, wait 'til you see the lush Annie, you'd drop me like a ten ton sack :-D

No no GrannyP, you can't be cynical with that lovely man at your side :-)

reminds me of what a girl friend who spent some years in Alaska told me: "the odds are good but the goods are odd."

Yeah well the options are limited. There is always a 2 to 1 ratio for women to men, to start off with. Then you have the guys, who are available but they either have girlfriends, are into rum, drugs (pharmaceuticals) , cars, electronics, or other men, so that slims down the choices a bit. lol Look out for a new batch summer time and during Mash, all the cute guys tend to start streaming back into Guyana. Just wanted to say i love your website... have a look at mine i just started posting a few months ago , would love your support. Thanks

Hello mu mu AND mercenary!

Welcome!

More Guyana bloggers, exciting.

Well mu mu, what can I say about the boys shortage...as one girl said, there are lots of nice boys out there but she doesn't have much in common with them, if only she can 'dumb down' a bit. And as another girl said, maybe it's time to look outside of Guyana.

Not Alaska though, it seems LOL.

Mercenary, is true? I know two single girls, two pals, and they're both fun, friendly, BRIGHT, good looking, smart, funny...
