(Workin' on de books where) I gon tell you stories - true, true stories - like me gran'pa and me nanee and cha cha used to do, and they ancestors too.
Take half, leave half, cry or laff, enjoy the gyaff. What you learn is up to you.
"Fire lives in the death of earth, air in the death of fire, water in the death of air, and earth in the death of water." Heraclitus the Pedestrian.
GG, I thought that was a pain in the ar..!
happy earth day!
Did you do anything special to celebrate, Cadiz? Here it's no deal, not even a tiny deal.Heh, john.g. that sounds like the French remedy for sore throat. Merci, Louis, I never knew about Heraclitus until you mentioned him the last time.
Happy Earth Day to you too.And that joke or yours - it had a sting in its tail!Even word veri thinks so its says:owchwx
happy earth day
There was not one mention of Earth day in the UK, so I didn't know about it until I went to Google.com and wondered what occasion called for trees on the logo.I was bitten by a bum-bee when I was little, right on the bum-line of my very short YELLOW shorts!
Olivia, shucks, and here I was thinking Earth Day was celebrated all over the world! I like that creative thing Google does when they're celebrating something or the other. Gosh, you must've hollered when that bee got you right *there*. Happy earth day everyday, Jdid.Sometimes I wonder how word verification does it, Caro. Out of curiosity I might ask the blogger folks one day.
Ouch! We have a flame coloured shrub which attracts BUMble bees.
*giggle* Happy Earth Day, GG. Thanks for the laugh.
Earth day? most of my countrymen didn't even know it was St George's day!shame on them
You can still celebrate Environment Daythis year.
Thanks Louis, I'll visit there later, probably very early in the morning when the net is faster. It's the media's fault, Robin. How's your garden growing, by the way? Don't tell me uphill or over the hill :-DYou're welcome, Stephen.Ohooo, so that's what they are, Pat. BUMble bees.
GG my garden is growing with great exuberance,it has the vibrancy of a Guyanan rain forest.Unfortunately, it is all what mother nature has provided! I haven't done a stroke yet, awaiting the return of my Daughter and her chap from holliday in Cuba, I need younger and fitter bodies than mine for the heavy stuff
Holiday in Cuba! Wow. I have a friend who worked at the Jamaican hotel there, she and her hubby said the place is beautiful! He loved the old cars and old buildings. Oh boy, Robin, if your daughter and boyfriend only know what's waiting for them back home :-D
Happy belated Earth Day. Man, I better wear long pants so I don't end up with a bum-bee!
watch out for the bum-bee buzz! we do Earth day here - it's a day for organized work parties. We clean up the shore line, clean up the parks, plant native plants - that sort of thing. Work parties are part of the US system, LOL - have been from the very beginning! we-the-people don't like waiting for the gov'ment, and don't like paying taxes to have things done. Easier to get a bunch of folks together and just DO IT.
Hayden, that is how we-the-people used to be, in my mother's youth...they NEVER waited for government to do for them! The people did. How it makes me angry that all some folks here do today is bitch, gripe, complain. They spread their dissension all about the place, and you know what bad vibes are like...it's like the flu virus. Hi Beenzzz, thank you, I hope everyday can be Earth Day when our garden starts to produce :-D
